The incidence of skin cancer in the USA has been increasing due to lifestyles that result in more exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Most skin cancers occur on the face and neck because these areas are more difficult to protect from sun exposure. The occurrence of skin cancer on your face may be of particular concern as treatment will leave some type of permanent scar that cannot be easily hidden.

There are different types of skin cancer and diagnosis is first established with a biopsy. This initial procedure can often be performed in the office under local anesthesia. Information obtained from the biopsy will help guide the surgical treatment plan.

Our goal is to effectively treat the skin cancer, minimize scarring and preserve facial form and function!
